27th November 2024: Bandai Namco Amusement Europe has played a key role in bringing an independent operator’s vision to reality by installing its amusement products and providing valuable expertise at Germany’s first-ever arcade bar and eatery, Electric Social.

Electric Social first launched in September and offers over 50 of the best single and multiplayer arcade games, as well as a delicious menu and regular events.

The owner of the new destination in Germany’s capital, Thomas Boerman, collaborated with Bandai Namco over two years, ensuring the installed equipment aligned with his project concept. Products from the US, Canada and Asia were successfully sourced by the Bandai Namco team, before being delivered and installed at the first-of-its-kind premises in Berlin.

The fully cashless site will feature social games such as the projected PAC-MAN Battle Royale Chompionship, a mobile multiplayer game which can be played by up to eight customers at a time from their phones by scanning a QR code, as well as Iceless Curling, Augmented Darts and Football Pool, and more than 45 new and retro arcade titles.

The successful launch is another example of how Bandai Namco can crucially support new location-based entertainment venues from the drawing board to opening day, driving revenue efficiently with its solutions.

Josh Hurst, International Sales Manager at Bandai Namco Amusement Europe, said: “We are proud to have collaborated with Electric Social on its wide-ranging game offering after a detailed consultation period. Working with Thomas, we were able to handpick products to meet his goals and it was a pleasure to see the site open its doors last month.

“Our leading services have supported the seamless delivery of the games on offer, and we believe it will minimise any teething issues due to the innovative technology employed.”

Thomas Boerman, owner of Electric Social, said: “As Berlin’s first arcade bar and kitchen, it was vital we got this launch right. It was a joy to work with Bandai Namco to breathe life into our vision and their expert team has succeeded in helping us deliver the most entertaining offering to our customers.

“Bandai Namco’s support has ensured we can meet the high demand anticipated with full confidence, and I am proud to say our first month has been a resounding success.”
