AAMA LAUNCHES VR CONNECT – A VIDEO EDUCATION PROGRAM FOCUSED ON OPERATING LOCATION-BASED VIRTUAL REALITY

American Amusement Machine Association, (AAMA)FIVE ONLINE VIDEOS ADDRESSING VIRTUAL REALITY OPERATIONAL BASICS
ARE NOW AVAILABLE TO VIEW
Cary, IL – May 17, 2023 - The American Amusement Machine Association, (AAMA) launched a new online education video series addressing the ins and outs of operating location-based Virtual Reality Attractions.
About the AAMA VR Committee American Amusement Machine Association, (AAMA)
In 2022, the AAMA established the VR Committee. The objective of this committee was to provide a space for the organizations and individuals who create and operate VR to come together and address the issues and opportunities of this unique, and fast-growing segment of the industry.
The committee quickly landed on two areas to focus on - Education and Standardization - and created two sub-committees to address both.
About the AAMA’s VR Connect Virtual Reality Education Initiative
Virtual Reality is here to stay, and the Amusement Industry is one of - if not the - best vehicles for introducing this amazing technology to the public. For those operators who were the early adopters of VR, there were more than a few, “I wish someone told me about this before I bought it!” growing pains they had to overcome, they’d rather have avoided.
Today, VR is a solid and profitable trend the Amusement Industry can benefit from, but there are things operators should know and prepare for prior to clearing space in their game room to place products.
AAMA has created a series of videos to help you avoid some of the growing pains the early adopters had to go through.  We’ll be adding additional content over the course of the next several months, to further educate operators on the many nuances of operating VR attractions to maximize earnings and minimize downtime.
About The Video Series
The VR Education Committee has developed the first five educational videos addressing some of the things operators should be aware of before making a purchase of a VR game:
1.   Introduction
2.   Understanding the Different Categories of VR
3.      How Tournaments and Esports Impact VR
4.      Site Readiness Considerations
5.      How to Price VR Gameplay
These videos can be viewed on AAMA’s website, www.coin-op.org/vr-connect/.
