In Memory of Scott Jeffrey Blair: A Gentle Spirit Who Touched Many Lives

Elmhurst, Illinois, August 28, 2024 — It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the unexpected and tragic passing of Scott Jeffrey Blair on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Scott was the beloved son of Jeff Blair, AAMA Board President, and the late Debra Winkle.

Born on May 3, 1998, in Tom’s River, NJ, Scott moved to Elmhurst, Illinois, to live with his father and stepmother, Christa Woss, just before joining Bryan Middle School. Scott, affectionately known as "Scottie" by his dad and "Scotty" by Christa, was a bright spirit who loved life and cherished his family. His passion for competitive hockey led him to play with the Chiefs, Blues, and York throughout his middle and high school years. Despite his busy schedule, Scott always made time for his friends and was known for his gentle and caring nature.

After graduating from high school, Scott briefly lived in Dekalb, IL, and Pittsburgh, PA, before returning to Elmhurst to be closer to his friends. Recently, he had begun working with his father, applying his operational experience from Revved Motors to support and learn a new business. His networking skills, personality, and enthusiasm were a welcome addition to the team.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Winkle; his grandfather, Ray Woss; and his grandmother, Antoinette (Toni) Blair-Lankiewicz. He is survived by his father, Jeff Blair; stepmother, Christa Woss; sister, Jodi Ryan; aunts, Lorri Lankiewicz (ALL), Melissa McCue, and Allison Woss; uncles, John Biscotti and Andy Woss; grandmother, Dianna Woss; and many cherished cousins.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, located at 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, Illinois. A funeral service will begin at 7 p.m.

Jeff and Christa Blair have requested that the news of Scott’s passing be shared with their industry family, and they kindly ask for privacy during this challenging time as they grieve the loss of their beloved son. The AAMA family extends its deepest sympathies to Jeff and his family as they navigate this devastating period. We hope that in the days, weeks, months, and years to come, they find solace in the cherished memories of Scott that live on in their hearts.
