Sunrise on Wheels Anytime Activity Bags enable children to experience the fun of Sunrise Day Camp Chicago during a visit to the hospital. Receiving treatment is a scary thing—and often prolonged over 3 years. Anytime Activity Bags take away the fear and focus kid's attention on engaging activities and crafts. They are age and gender-appropriate and are for pre-school, elementary and tweens/teens, providing hours of engaging activities that enable children's imaginations to run wild.
Launched in 2009, Sunrise on Wheels brings the joys of childhood to children undergoing treatment in pediatric oncology units of participating hospitals. With the help of dedicated volunteers and a rainbow trunk brimming with toys, games, and activities, Sunrise transforms what could be a difficult day into one full of fun and laughter.
