NEW YORK CITY—January 10, 2024— The Amusement and Music Owners Association of New York, Inc. (AMOA-NY) has chosen Robert Dipipi, the vice president of sales and purchasing of Betson Enterprises, Inc. (www.betson.com), headquartered in Carlstadt, New Jersey, as its 2024 Guest of Honor, on Monday, April 15. Starting his coin-op career at Merit Industries and eventually signing on with Betson in 1995, Bob Dipipi has earned a well-deserved reputation of honesty, integrity, and professionalism within the amusement industry. The Cornell graduate and former college baseball player served as sales manager in Betson’s Philadelphia office and transitioned through other key roles and responsibilities before rising to his current position as vice president of sales and purchasing for the distribution giant.
"It is hard to believe that I am approaching my 30th year with Betson, and Betson itself is approaching its 90th anniversary,” Bob declared. “Although I am not 'family' – the Bettis have always treated me like 'family,'. It’s been a great partnership.”
Bob Dipipi takes great pride in and has been a major contributor to the Betson team's success, accomplishments, and growth. "I understand Betson's historical importance to the industry as a key distributor and service provider to America's amusement operators since 1934. Over the past two decades, Betson has continued to evolve as a sales and service organization. We are always looking for new ways to help make our customers more successful.”
Betson has a domestic and international presence that expands across many sectors, including operators, bowling centers, movie theaters, campgrounds, skating rinks, trampoline parks, restaurants, and more. Bob Dipipi forecasts: "The industry continues to gain momentum as new types of location-based amusement venues find the value and return on investment of our products.”
Dipipi and his team embrace working with new business startups offering them guidance, mentoring, teaching them how to generate income with Betson's equipment and support services. "Our goal is to develop long-term relationships with our customers. The only way to do that is to put their success first," he describes.
Bob Dipipi looks forward to the latest excitement in the industry by introducing new arcade and redemption games from major manufacturers, highlighted by the latest Raw Thrills VR attraction, Godzilla™ Kaiju Wars VR, which will debut in April 2024.
Throughout Bob's journey, he has been blessed with the love and support of his wife of 32 years, Gwen (a recently retired real estate professional), and their two sons, Daniel and Mark (both IT corporate professionals). Bob is a resident of Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
