Apple Industries has announced the hiring of A.J. Russo as its new Director of Marketing. A.J. joins the organization after spending the previous 14 years as Chief Creative Officer for AMI Entertainment Network.
“A.J.’s extensive portfolio in product design, strategic content, and marketing speaks volumes about his creative leadership. His success in driving user engagement and revenue growth aligns perfectly with our vision for advancing our products and market presence. He possesses all the qualities we were looking for in a co-author for our next exciting chapter,” said Allen Weisberg, Apple Industries CEO.
In his role, Russo is set to lead both creative and marketing operations for Apple, crafting brand strategies and orchestrating its promotional campaigns. Russo will report to Apple Industries’ President Scott Avery.
“It’s impossible not to be energized by the design excellence and ability that Apple has shown to attract brand partners like Disney, Marvel, NASCAR, and more. Its future is one that I’m extremely excited to help shape,” said A.J. Russo.
Russo joined the amusement industry in 1999, serving as a game designer for Merit Industries and its Megatouch brand. He later became the company’s first creative director before its merger with Rowe International, soon thereafter leading the creation of the AMI Entertainment Network corporate identity. He went on to become the youngest member of AMI’s executive team, setting a high bar of aesthetic excellence across all its brands, while additionally playing a leadership role in the user experience design of the AMI Music app, AMI Co-Pilot app, Ad Manager, and a multitude of other products.
Russo is a native of metro Philadelphia and a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
