IRVING, TX—November 29, 2023—The cheeky fictional superheroes appearing in blockbuster films and American comic books published by Marvel Comics are now part of Andamiro’s amusement machine universe – starring in an exciting new title that begins shipping mid-December.
Inspired by Marvel’s cosmic misfit mercenaries and built on Andamiro’s Ticket Coaster platform, Guardians of the Galaxy is an entertaining gravity game for all ages. By integrating electromechanical innovation with wildly popular characters, gameplay is engaging and easy to grasp: players launch a ball (Power Stone) onto a descending course to win tickets.
Guardians of the Galaxy is all about timing. Players begin their intergalactic journey by pressing a button to deploy the Power Stone. After “serpentining” through the spiraling track, the stone continues its descent along the lower straight track to complete the ride. Tickets are won when a stone lands in one of the open cars of the moving train circling the playfield.
The object of the game is to accurately land a stone into one of the train's GOG character cars. There are nine cars with nine corresponding ticket values, all clearly designated. When a player lights up all nine ticket values, they win the super bonus.
Andamiro’s featured GOG characters include Star-Lord, Yondu, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Groot, along with Drax, Cosmo, Mantis and The Collector.
Guardians of the Galaxy is Andamiro’s fourth Marvel-branded attraction and second Ticket Coaster adaptation, following SpongeBob Ticket Coaster (2021). Ticket Coaster’s base design comprises a two-player-station cabinet with two trains that loop around the playfield and two corkscrew ball launchers. The player stations are positioned on opposite sides of the cabinet, making Ticket Coaster ideal for island placement.
“As the name implies, our Ticket Coaster skill-game concept is about promoting the accrual of tickets,” observed Andamiro USA marketing director Nick Montano. “In venues known for quality redemption merchandise, we’ve seen Ticket Coaster become a top attraction because it’s easy to learn but requires advanced skill to achieve the nine-car super bonus. Extending our Ticket Coaster line with the Guardians of the Galaxy theme is a sure winner for redemption operators.”
In addition to the awe-inspiring GOG characters, graphics package and sound effects, the latest Ticket Coaster version introduces two innovations: 3D holographic fans and LCDs on each player side, which augment the game’s visual presentation. It measures 71” wide by 49” deep by 107” high and weighs 981 lbs. (unpacked).
Guardians of the Galaxy is manufactured in South Korea by Andamiro Co. Ltd. and sold in North America by Andamiro USA Corp. through authorized factory distributors. For more information, please contact
